Stop and Smell the Flowers

Sometimes a drawing doesn’t need a complicated story.

Sometimes it just needs a woman, a very large flower, and a reminder to stop for a minute.

This piece came from one of those moments when I was thinking about how easy it is to get caught up in the week, the schedule, the things that need doing and the general business of being a human.

So I decided to take a breath and look at the little things instead.

Warm weather. Blue skies. Fluffy clouds. Flowers doing their thing.

And perhaps most importantly, a reminder that we don’t always have to be rushing toward the next thing.

Sometimes you can just stop and smell the flowers.
