Coffee & White Butterflies

It felt like spring had arrived on the island.

Flowers were beginning to bloom, trees were waking up and all the little creatures that help bring the season to life seemed to be appearing everywhere.

Including these little white butterflies.

They look a lot like tiny moths, but they’re actually butterflies — and I kept noticing them fluttering around my neighbourhood.

Naturally, I had to draw them.

And because apparently everything is better with coffee, I decided they needed to share the page with a very necessary cup of caffeine.

This piece became a little celebration of the changing season and those small details that catch your attention when you slow down enough to notice them.

A little spring.

A little coffee.

A few white butterflies.

Seems like a pretty good combination to me.
